DuPont Appoints New Managing Director for the Philippines

Ortigas, Manila – 1 August 2017. DuPont Philippines today announced the appointment of Amit Gupta to lead the company’s operations as Managing Director for the Philippines, succeeding Jet Marcial G. Parma, who has opted for an early retirement.


“We are pleased to make this announcement, and to welcome Amit to DuPont Philippines,” said Azham Zahid, DuPont’s Corporate Communications Manager for ASEAN. “We believe that with Amit’s finance, strategic planning and commercial experience, DuPont Philippines will continue to thrive and build on its strong business footing in all businesses.”


Amit joined DuPont in 2005 and held several roles in finance and planning for DuPont businesses in South Asia and Asia Pacific. Amit has been the finance and Asia Pacific Business Services Manager for DuPont Crop Protection for ASEAN and Australia New Zealand and was the Director of DuPont Danisco for the last three years. Prior to joining DuPont, Amit worked with Hindustan Petroleum for six years.


As Managing Director for the Philippines, he will oversee DuPont business directions towards further growth for the Philippines market. Amit will also serve as the key spokesperson and representative in matters dealing with the government, business associations and other external functions. He will work with the local management team to maximize human capital and resource productivity, and ensure alignment with overall corporate directives.


Amit is a Qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
